TL;DR: GMO AI & Robotics unveiled a Humanoid Ambulance in Tokyo: a repair van carrying spares, diagnostic gear, a hoist, and a robotics engineer for field repairs. The launch arrives as Japan tests humanoids in jobs including Haneda baggage handling. The Factory Is Hiring Itself
TL;DR: XPeng has commissioned a Guangzhou production line for its IRON humanoid and says an assembled unit autonomously walked off it, moving the robot from prototype work toward commercial manufacturing. More than 80% of the line's core processes are automated. XPeng is applying automotive production methods to general-purpose humanoids as it seeks repeatable scale at high volumes. Read more →
One Operating System, Two Terrains
TL;DR: XTEND delivered its first XOS-powered AtlasROVER ground robot to an Asia-Pacific customer, extending its platform from aerial systems to wheeled machines. The Latvia-built rover carries mission-specific payloads in difficult terrain, while XOS provides shared AI, application, and operator tools. Forklifts Get A New Partner
TL;DR: Nissan is expanding OTTO autonomous mobile robots at its Smyrna, Tennessee plant in six phases, shifting internal parts hauling currently handled by 64 forklift and tugger drivers. Ramen Gets A Robot Shift
TL;DR: SoftBank Robotics installed its STEAMA steam-cooking robot at Spa World Hotel & Resort in Osaka, its first permanent public deployment in western Japan. Visitors load a bowl and start the machine, which uses high-pressure, high-temperature steam to prepare proprietary frozen ramen in about 90 seconds. Japan Builds A Four-Legged Workhorse
TL;DR: Highlanders has launched HLQ EDGE, a Japanese industrial quadruped built for hauling, inspection, and remote work on uneven ground. The machine carries up to 60 kilograms, delivers 330 Nm of peak joint torque, runs for three hours, and can take the company's arm on its rear mount. Hospitals Put Samples In The Air
TL;DR: Synnovis and Apian are expanding their London pathology-drone program after a pilot moved more than 6,000 samples between Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals in under two minutes, versus more than 30 minutes by road. The Training Room Leaves Simulation
TL;DR: Tokyo-based MiraiBit has started an embodied-AI workflow that collects teleoperated robot data with OpenARM 2.0, trains and evaluates models, then validates them on physical machines. It added a Unitree G1 to the environment for humanoid experiments, framing the program as an end-to-end real-robot path from data collection to model testing rather than simulation-only research. TL;DR: A Reuters review of more than 100 Chinese tenders, patents, and academic studies found Beijing's military institutions studying humanoids for urban operations, sentry work, and logistics. Norinco has shown a teleoperated Fuxi platform, while U.S. startup Foundation has tested humanoids in Ukraine.
